There are many factors that can impact upon your mental function.  Ailments as far reaching as stress to vascular illnesses can all have affect your brain power.  Your brain requires high levels of oxygen and energy to perform optimally and the lack of a single nutrient can have massive effects.

You not only need to keep physically fit but when choosing food you need to think about keeping your mental capacity in full health also.  Your diet is responsible for supplying your brain with the nutrients its needs to function so choose wisely.  If you have a hectic lifestyle and can’t always control you food intake then use vitamin and Herbal Remedies to supplement your diet.

Herbs such as Ginkgo Biloba, Aswagandha, Ginseng and Hawthorn are known to have cognitive supporting qualities whilst improving your concentration.  Ginkgo is linked to improving dementia cases and ginseng is a powerful antioxidant.  A combination of the two is often used to enhance concentration.

Vitamins are essential to the optimal function of the body and its systems.  Diet is often not sufficient to supply all the essential vitamins and minerals required.  You really do need to feed the brain so choose whole foods, oily fish and plenty of fruit and vegetables.  Supplement with a multi vitamin and mineral and incorporate mental exercises into your daily routine.
