Herbal Remedies the Greek way
The Greek are famous for their feta cheese and oils that can be easily bought all over the country. However there are two young and delightful sage oils that can be used but do need extra care as they can be a little toxic.
One of the oils is called Dalmatian oil and the mind automatically visualises a dog with black spots on a white background. However this oil is used in Home Remedies and is used in healing oily and inflamed skin and even the odd bald patch has been known to benefit from a treatment. If you require treatment for arthritis, joint pains and other swollen and stiff joints this could be the oil for you.
It can be helpful in easing arthritis and painful muscles; there are also those who say it is helpful in treating palsy. It is an immune stimulant and can raise blood pressure. It does come with a warning that if you have a problem with blood pressure or you think you may be pregnant then avoid using this oil.
The Greek Sage is the other partner oil that can benefit a large percentage of people and is safer to use as one of the Herbal Remedies that you may have in your cupboard. The oil smells sweeter and fruitier due to the lower ketones, therefore making it a favourite with women as a treatment to relieve menstrual pain. Another use for this oil, popular on the island of Crete, is for a chesty cough, hot sweats and bronchitis.
