Herbal Remedies from the garden

They were the ones that knew how to administer the herbs to cure ailments including bleeding noses, baldness, infertility, loss of appetite and many more. They were even used on animal for farms to keep their animals well in the days when there were no modern medicines.
Greeks and Romans used to use herbs to purify the air and celery was used to stuff pillows by the Abyssinians and of the course the North American Indian elders handed down their traditional methods of using herbs to cure and heal their tribe’s people. Most herbs were found growing on their land and they were used in healing and cooking in the early days, picked fresh when required.
Herbs can be classified as having uses for medicinal, aromatic, ornamental and of course the one that is most popular is for culinary uses.
When herbs are grown in a garden they are known in categories such as annuals which include coriander, chervil, oregano, basil and dill. Biennials are known to live for two seasons and perennials bloom over the winter months and each season. There are also perennials which are sweet marjoram, mint, parsley, sage, and chive.
