Grandma’s Herbal Remedies for Good Health

Herbal Remedies have been passed down through generations of families. It was known in families to contact your grandma if there was illness or disease in the family.

Listed below are some of the diseases or ailments and the herbal remedy which can be used to help bring back good health.

Summer is coming so any bee or wasp stings can be helped by using Aloe Vera or Black Cohosh. Check the sting is removed.

Herbal plants which are used in many herbal remedies can be found growing wild in hedgerows and woods.
A good home remedy for chicken pox is to soak in a bath of hot water to break out the pox.

If a new mother is breastfeeding and the baby has colic, then try a few drops of Lavender oil mixed with aloe vera or massage oil such as sweet almond. The mixture should be well diluted and massaged underneath the feet.

A couple of drops of the herbal plant catnip given to the baby every few minutes will stop the crying.

Nappy rash can be helped by opening a capsule of a probiotics, mix it with water and let the baby drink the mixture. Spread a little plain yoghurt over the rash on the babies bottom.
