Edible face mask

Many people like to visit a spa, but sometimes you don’t have the time or your house is just too nice to leave.  If you would really like a facial but perhaps are lacking in funds, why not head to the kitchen and create your own?  Here are three simple ideas:

1. Steaming
After boiling a pot of water, lower the heat a little and add a few drops of your favorite essential oil. Hold your face over a bowl of water, but not too close, and put a towel over the top of your head to help the steaming process. Stay in this position for around 5 minutes and just enjoy the wonderful aromatherapy as the steam opens your pores.

2. Exfoliate
You can use uncooked oatmeal combined with a little warm water to make an excellent exfoliant. Mix the two together to create a paste and then gently scrub on your face to remove the dirt, oil, and dead skin cells.

3 . Fruit Facial Mask
A fruity facial mask can be made cheaply using a variety of fruits. Here is just one simple recipe using the papaya fruit.

-1/2 cup yoghurt
-1 chopped papaya
-1 juiced lemon
-1 teaspoon of honey

Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend on a low speed until a paste is created. Apply to your face and leave it on for at least 30 minutes.
