Beat Workplace Stress Naturally

Work can be a very stressful environment to be in depending on the job you do, the people you work with and are managed by and the type of deadlines you work to.  Increasingly in the UK we are working longer hours and the balance between homelife and work is distorted and unnaturally bent toward work.  Work practices are becoming more complex with new technologies, productivity is rated above quality and most environments are fast paced and competitive.  The work environment creates an ideal place for stress to hit us.

If we experience stress in one-off situations our minds and body can recover and a little stress is good for improving our performance.  However if the stress becomes constant the affect can be cumulative and lead to physical, emotional and mental issues.

To deal with stress in the work place always have some lavender and chamomile on hand.  Both these Aromatherapy Oils are excellent at calming the mind and body and restoring equilibrium.  You can add some drops of neat lavender oil to the temples to soothe away stress and tension headaches.  Chamomile and lavender can be added to a spray bottle with some mineral water and in the summer months it can be used as a cooling body spray.  Chamomile tea is a great herbal tea for calming jarred nerves and restoring calm.
