Why is it that some people looks so radiant?  If you know someone who has lovely skin or shiny, silky hair it is probable that they are the type of person who looks after themselves.  Not only are they probably drinking plenty of water and eating well but they are likely to have a natural skin and hair programme using products that are made from natural, botanical or herbal ingredients.

You can take this one step further by using simple herbal infusions to give your hair and skin a health boost.  By adding a herbal rinse to your shower routine you keep your skin and hair looking healthy and beautiful.  Here is a list of herbs that are great if included as part of your beauty routine:

Stinging Nettle - For shiny hair and the relief of itchy skin

Oatstraw - To calm sensitive and itchy skin

Parsley - Excellent for controlling dandruff

Chamomile – To accentuate blonde highlights and soothe sensitive skin.  A great acne tonic.

Rose – To calm sensitive skin and nourish dry skin.  It keeps skin looking radiant and youthful

Lavender – Work well with acne and is effective as an anti-dandruff hair rinse

Rosemary – To bring out darker highlights and to control dandruff

To make an infusion, simply select your dried or fresh herb and add to a large mug or dish.  Pour over 2 cups of boiling water and let it steep for 20 to 30 minutes.  Then strain using a strainer if you are not using teabags.  And there you have it!   A natural beauty product to add to your beauty regime.  Simply use the infusion as a rinse either for skin and hair at the end of your shower and let the natural Goddess in you shine out!
